For the Jews of London

Posted on: March 24th, 2026 by Alden

Four ambulances belonging to the Jewish volunteer emergency Hatzola service in London were set on fire in an arson attack early Monday. Police are investigating it as an antisemitic hate crime. This prayer was influenced by my memorial prayer for the victims of the 7 July London bombings, as well as my prayers after the Manchester and Westminster attacks.

For the Jews of London
Author of life,
Grant peace and consolation
To the Jews London,
Terrorized by the arson of ambulances,
Symbols of hope and life,
Instruments of blessing and healing,
Set ablaze by the hands of cruelty and hate.

Bless the Jews of London and England
With safety and peace,
Recalling the victims and survivors
Of the 7/7, Manchester, and Westminster attacks.
Grant each of them shelter and solace,
Comfort and consolation,
Blessing and courage.
May their healing
Continue with devotion and courage.

Heavenly Guide,
Hand of love and shelter,
Put an end to anger and hatred,
Bigotry and fear.
Let terrorists put down their weapons
To discover a new path.
May victims of violence
Find hope and renewal.
Lead us to a time when no one
Suffers or dies at the hand of another.

Let peace reign for the Jews
Of London and England,
And all peoples
In every land,
So that Your name is hallowed
By hope and love.
