Unlock Your Heart
This is part prayer, part insight, part inspiration. It’s about the yearning for a certain kind of nobility that comes from allowing G-d’s gifts to enter our hearts, the kind of nobility that requires self-confidence, self-care and self-discipline. This meditation will appear in my forthcoming book: The Song of the Spiritual Traveler.
Unlock Your Heart
Come,
Unlock your heart,
Open the gates
So your soul may enter.
Splendor.
Radiance.
Awe.
Let the spark of holiness
And the gift of humanity
Meet in the core of your being.
Wisdom.
Glory.
Truth.
Let the echo of the ages
And the yearning for tomorrow
Sing a duet of eternity.
Mystery.
Majesty.
Wonder.
Then, dear sisters and brothers,
Your hands will become a fountain of blessings,
And your eyes will become wells of love.
Your words will resonate with Torah,
And your deeds will glorify G-d’s Holy Name.

I love this piece – one of the bonuses of your work for me is that I can also share it with non-Jewish friends as well. The universal themes shine through.
Thank you
Thanks for your support. Glad you like my work.
lovely
Thanks, Anna Belle. I enjoy your writing, as well.
Don’t see the link to post ‘like’. Like it a lot, especially the poetic way you arranged the words on the page. And like that your mom listed me as a friend! And David rode the Pan-Mass Challenge! And sent 11 pictures!
Great news all around!
I have not been here in awhile. I return today and am so very richly rewarded. Thank you!
Thanks Fran. I hope all is well.
